LIFE14 CCM/SE/000221
  • Start date: 13/06/2017
  • End date: 13/06/2017

Visit the first industrial food waste based biogas plant in Stockholm County.

A unique experience to discover the most sustainable process for biofuels production.

Treating 60,000 tonnes of food waste per year, the plant has a capacity to generate over 80 GWh, corresponding to 8.8 million litres of petrol and enough to meet the annual fuel needs of 5,000 private motorists. At full capacity, the plant also produces 14,000 tonnes of dewatered bio-fertiliser.

Organised as part of EffiSludge for LIFE  project....

for a sustainable and energy efficient pulp and paper industry. Under implementation in Norway, between Scandinavian Biogas, Biokraft and Norske Skog Skogn, the project will demonstrate the advantages for mills to integrate with a biogas plant processing wastewater effluents and residues.

...with the support of the 25th European Biomass Conference and Exposition (EUBCE2017).

A unique opportunity to discover, step-by-step, how food waste can be turned into valuable products such as biogas and fertiliser. Registration is required via EUBCE2017 website. Due to onsite H&S regulations only a limited number of participants can be guaranteed.
