A Biodiversity Carnival in Burgas is organising the Bulgarian Biodiversity Foundation on May 26th 2017 at 17:00 in partnership with Municipality of Burgas and Regional Inspectorate of Environment and Water – Burgas. The Carnival this year is devoted to the celebration of 25th Anniversary of the LIFE Programme and of the Habitats Directive which successfully contributed to the preservation of our unique European natural heritage. To mark the special anniversaries, the Salt of Life Project (LIFE11 NAT/BG/ 000362) defines the theme of the Carnival “LIVE Nature of Bulgaria” in order to attract kids and students to join the celebration and to present attractive costumes of plants and animals from the richest nature in the country – lakes, rivers, mountains, fields and forests. The Carnival will be organised in the Sea Garden of Burgas (4th largest city in Bulgaria) at the open air stage in front of the citizens and guest of the town, parents, teachers and many kids. Regularly more than 120 children from the kinder gardens and first classes of the schools participated in this nature parade.
